Description

A copycat recipe inspired by Outback Steakhouse’s Alice Springs Chicken, featuring grilled chicken topped with bacon, mushrooms, and cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup honey mustard sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then grill or pan-sear until golden brown on both sides.
  3. In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy; set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté mushrooms until tender.
  5. Place cooked chicken in a baking dish, top with mushrooms, bacon, and shredded cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Drizzle with honey mustard sauce before serving.

Notes

For a crispier bacon, bake it separately in the oven. Pair with steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
