Description
Soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls filled with apple and cinnamon flavors.
Ingredients
- Dough: 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- Dough: 1 cup warm milk
- Dough: 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- Dough: 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Dough: 1 teaspoon salt
- Dough: 2 large eggs
- Dough: 4 cups all-purpose flour
- Filling: 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- Filling: 1 cup brown sugar
- Filling: 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- Filling: 2 cups apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar
- Glaze: 2 tablespoons milk
- Glaze: 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and flour to the yeast mixture; knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread with softened butter.
- Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and diced apples over the dough.
- Roll up the dough tightly and cut into 12 slices.
- Place slices in a greased baking pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350ยฐF for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze and drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
For best results, use fresh apples and serve warm.
