Description

Soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls filled with apple and cinnamon flavors.


Ingredients

  • Dough: 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • Dough: 1 cup warm milk
  • Dough: 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • Dough: 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Dough: 1 teaspoon salt
  • Dough: 2 large eggs
  • Dough: 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • Filling: 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • Filling: 1 cup brown sugar
  • Filling: 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • Filling: 2 cups apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Glaze: 2 tablespoons milk
  • Glaze: 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and flour to the yeast mixture; knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread with softened butter.
  5. Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and diced apples over the dough.
  6. Roll up the dough tightly and cut into 12 slices.
  7. Place slices in a greased baking pan and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350ยฐF for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze and drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

For best results, use fresh apples and serve warm.
