Ingredients

- 6 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, mix apples, 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Pour into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, stir together flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and stir until just combined.
- Pour batter over the apples, then drizzle melted butter over the batter.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for the best flavor.
