Description

A classic apple cobbler with a sweet fruit filling and a golden topping.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix apples, 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Pour into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, stir together flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and stir until just combined.
  4. Pour batter over the apples, then drizzle melted butter over the batter.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for the best flavor.
