Description

Traditional German meatballs made with ground meat, spices, and served with a savory sauce.


Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 200g ground pork
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 50g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, nutmeg, parsley, and milk. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides.
  4. Add beef broth and simmer for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Serve hot with gravy or sauce.

Notes

For a authentic flavor, use fresh herbs and let the mixture rest for 30 minutes before forming meatballs.
