A decadent and easy no-bake dessert featuring layers of chocolate, Baileys-spiked cheesecake filling, and whipped cream.

For the Crust:

  • 1 (15.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix, baked and cooled
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup Irish cream liqueur (e.g., Baileys)
  • 2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cut the baked chocolate cake into 1-inch cubes. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in the powdered sugar and Irish cream liqueur until well combined and creamy.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the chocolate pudding mixes with the cold milk for 2 minutes until it begins to thicken. Fold the pudding into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
  4. In a large trifle bowl, create a layer using half of the chocolate cake cubes. Spread half of the cheesecake pudding mixture over the cake layer.
  5. Add the remaining cake cubes to form a second layer, then top with the rest of the cheesecake mixture.
  6. Spread the thawed whipped topping over the top. Garnish with chocolate shavings. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
