Description

Delicious baked apple fritters made with fresh apples, coated in a sweet vanilla glaze for a healthier twist on a classic treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mix the diced apples, milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. While the fritters cool, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled fritters and serve.
