A fun twist on baked apples, where apples are cored and stuffed with a sweet mixture, then baked until tender.

- 4 large apples
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Optional: Chopped nuts for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Core the apples, leaving the bottom intact to create a well.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Stuff the apples with the sugar mixture and top with butter.
- Place in a baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes until soft.
- Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.
Notes
For a crispier top, broil for the last 2 minutes.
