Description

A fun twist on baked apples, where apples are cored and stuffed with a sweet mixture, then baked until tender.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large apples
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Optional: Chopped nuts for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Core the apples, leaving the bottom intact to create a well.
  3. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Stuff the apples with the sugar mixture and top with butter.
  5. Place in a baking dish and bake for 30-40 minutes until soft.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.

Notes

For a crispier top, broil for the last 2 minutes.
