An elegant yet simple appetizer featuring a wheel of brie baked inside a bread bowl, topped with sweet-tart cranberry sauce and fresh thyme.

For the Crust:
- 1 large round sourdough bread loaf
- 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese
- 1 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Slice the top off the sourdough loaf and carefully hollow out the center, leaving a 1-inch thick shell. Reserve the removed bread for dipping.
- Place the entire wheel of brie inside the hollowed bread bowl. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the top of the brie and sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves.
- Brush the outside of the bread bowl and the cut top with melted butter. Place the top back on the loaf and wrap the entire thing loosely in foil. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve warm with the reserved bread pieces.
