- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 oz jar marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
- Cook ziti pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, cook until softened.
- Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a baking dish, layer half the cooked ziti, then the meat sauce, ricotta, and half the cheeses.
- Top with remaining ziti, sauce, and cheeses.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
