Description

This indulgent cheesecake combines ripe bananas, gooey caramel, and crunchy nuts for a rich dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Crust:
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Filling:
  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Prepare the crust: Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
  4. For the filling: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add mashed bananas, vanilla, and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  5. Stir in caramel sauce and chopped nuts.
  6. Pour the filling over the cooled crust and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set.
  7. Cool in the pan, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

For a nut-free version, substitute with chocolate chips. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
