Description

These festive stuffed mushrooms are perfect for holiday appetizers, filled with a savory mixture of cheese, herbs, and breadcrumbs. Easy to prepare and always a crowd favorite.


Ingredients

  • 24 large white mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  2. Remove stems from mushrooms and set caps aside.
  3. Chop the stems finely.
  4. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, Parmesan, mozzarella, green onions, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. Stir in the chopped mushroom stems.
  6. Fill each mushroom cap with the mixture and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the tops.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.

Notes

For extra crispiness, toast the breadcrumbs lightly before sprinkling. These can be made ahead and refrigerated until ready to bake.
