Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a baking pan.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the sugar until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla and food coloring.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt; mix until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
For a fudgier texture, do not overbake. Store in an airtight container.
