For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce and tomato for serving
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined. Form into 4 patties.
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the turkey burgers for 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and butter. Add sliced onions and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until caramelized (about 20 minutes).
- Toast the burger buns lightly if desired. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, turkey patties, and caramelized onions.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
