Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce and tomato for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined. Form into 4 patties.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the turkey burgers for 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and butter. Add sliced onions and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until caramelized (about 20 minutes).
  4. Toast the burger buns lightly if desired. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, turkey patties, and caramelized onions.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
