Description
A delicious casserole inspired by the famous Big Mac burger, combining ground beef, cheese, and special sauce in an easy-to-make dish.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pickles, diced
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the bun layer:
- 4 hamburger buns, torn into pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, add onion and cook until onion is soft. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half the torn bun pieces.
- Spread half the beef mixture over the buns, then layer half the cheeses, lettuce, pickles, and dressing.
- Repeat layers, ending with cheeses on top.
- Sprinkle crushed crackers over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
- Serve hot.
Notes
This casserole is best served warm. You can add diced tomatoes for extra freshness.
