- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup dark corn syrup
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the crust by mixing graham cracker crumbs and melted butter; press into a 9-inch pie pan.
- For the filling, melt chocolate chips and butter together in a double boiler; set aside to cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together oats, brown sugar, and salt.
- Beat eggs in another bowl, then stir in corn syrup and vanilla extract.
- Combine the egg mixture with the oat mixture, then fold in the melted chocolate.
- Pour the filling into the prepared crust and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until set.
- Cool completely before serving.
