Description

A decadent cheesecake featuring layers of chocolate, cherries, and cream cheese, inspired by the classic Black Forest cake.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Filling:
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted
  • Topping:
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of the pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract and melted chocolate.
  4. Pour the filling over the crust and smooth the top. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until the center is set.
  5. Allow the cheesecake to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  6. Before serving, top with cherry pie filling, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings.
