- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup cherry pie filling
- Whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Gradually stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until a dough forms.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough into balls and press a dent in the center of each.
- Fill the dent with cherry pie filling.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set.
- Let cool and top with whipped cream before serving.
Notes
For best results, chill the dough before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
