Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just mixed.
  5. Gently fold in the fresh blackberries.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  7. Spoon the muffin batter into the liners, then add a dollop of cream cheese mixture on top and swirl with a toothpick.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
