Description

A festive bread appetizer featuring sourdough baked with melted brie and topped with cranberry pomegranate jewels for a sweet and savory holiday treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large round sourdough loaf
  • 1 wheel (8 oz) of brie cheese
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the sourdough loaf in a criss-cross pattern without cutting all the way through.
  3. Stuff the brie cheese into the cuts of the bread.
  4. In a bowl, mix cranberries, pomegranate seeds, honey, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the bread cuts.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute brie with a dairy-free alternative. Serve warm for the best flavor.
