- 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
- 8 ounces brie cheese, sliced
- 2 medium apples, thinly sliced (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 1/2 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 2 tablespoons olive oil for brushing
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush the baguette slices with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes until golden and crisp.
- In a small skillet, toast the walnuts over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, then drizzle with honey and stir until coated; set aside.
- Remove the baguette slices from the oven and top each with a slice of brie and apple.
- Return to the oven for 2-3 minutes until the brie begins to melt.
- Remove from the oven, top with honeyed walnuts and fresh thyme.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute brie with a vegan alternative cheese.
