- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until smooth.
- Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until a dough forms.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls, placing them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
- Allow the brownie bombs to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a gooey center, insert a piece of chocolate or caramel before baking. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
