For the Crust:
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Marinate the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
- Mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat each piece in the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pan to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through, about 15 minutes.
