A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich featuring fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of bread
- 4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- On the non-buttered side of one slice, layer mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil leaves.
- Top with the other bread slice, buttered side out.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the sandwich for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted.
Notes
For the best flavor, use ripe tomatoes and fresh basil. Serve immediately.
