Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the diced apples and chopped walnuts.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
