Description

A savory flatbread topped with caramelized figs, creamy blue cheese, and a hint of balsamic glaze, perfect for appetizers or light meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large pre-made flatbread or pizza dough
  • 4 fresh figs, sliced
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh arugula for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Brush the flatbread with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Arrange the sliced figs and red onion evenly on the flatbread.
  4. Sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese over the top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the flatbread is golden.
  6. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and garnish with fresh arugula before serving.

Notes

For a sweeter version, caramelize the figs in a pan with a bit of sugar before adding them to the flatbread.
