Description
Sweet dates are stuffed with creamy feta and caramelized onions, then topped with crunchy toasted walnuts for a perfect appetizer.

- 10 Medjool dates, pitted
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 100g feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook slowly for 20-25 minutes until caramelized, stirring occasionally.
- While onions are cooking, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and spread walnuts on a baking sheet. Toast for 5-7 minutes until fragrant.
- Cut a slit in each date and stuff with a teaspoon of crumbled feta and a bit of caramelized onion.
- Top each stuffed date with toasted walnuts.
- Serve immediately or chill for later.
Notes
For best results, ensure onions are fully caramelized to achieve a sweet flavor. This recipe can be made ahead and refrigerated.
