For the Crust:
- 2 ripe pears, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 4 cups mixed salad greens
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1/4 cup walnuts, toasted
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add brown sugar. Stir until combined.
- Add pear slices and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, toss salad greens with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- Divide greens among plates, top with caramelized pears, blue cheese, and toasted walnuts.
- Drizzle any remaining caramel sauce from the skillet over the salad and serve immediately.
