- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 package (9 ounces) cheese tortellini
- 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Add sliced onion, bell pepper, and garlic; cook until softened.
- In a separate pot, cook tortellini according to package instructions; drain.
- To the beef mixture, add beef broth and heavy cream; bring to a simmer.
- Stir in shredded provolone cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked tortellini to the sauce and toss to coat.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot.
Notes
This recipe pairs well with garlic bread. For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
