For the Crust:
- 1 lb rigatoni pasta
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and Italian sausage, cook until browned. Remove excess fat.
- Add minced garlic and butter to the skillet, sautรฉ for 1-2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, cook until the sauce thickens.
- Combine the cooked rigatoni with the sauce in the skillet, mixing well to coat the pasta. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, top with mozzarella cheese, and broil until the cheese is melted and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
