Description

A hearty pasta dish combining beef, Italian sausage, and rigatoni in a rich garlic butter sauce topped with melted cheese.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb rigatoni pasta
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and Italian sausage, cook until browned. Remove excess fat.
  3. Add minced garlic and butter to the skillet, sautรฉ for 1-2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, cook until the sauce thickens.
  4. Combine the cooked rigatoni with the sauce in the skillet, mixing well to coat the pasta. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, top with mozzarella cheese, and broil until the cheese is melted and golden.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
