For the Crust:
- 1 pound rigatoni pasta
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Cook the rigatoni pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and Italian sausage, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the butter and heavy cream, and bring the mixture to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked rigatoni to the skillet, stirring to coat the pasta in the garlic butter sauce.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the pasta. Cover and cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
