For the Crust:

  • 1 pound rigatoni pasta
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook the rigatoni pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and Italian sausage, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the butter and heavy cream, and bring the mixture to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the cooked rigatoni to the skillet, stirring to coat the pasta in the garlic butter sauce.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the pasta. Cover and cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
