For the Crust:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 slices of French bread
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder to the beef. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic salt and brush over the bread slices. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Toast bread in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Spoon the sloppy joe mixture over the cheesy garlic bread slices, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.
