Description

These delicious cheesy ground beef quesadillas are quick to prepare and packed with flavor, making them an ideal family dinner option.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • Sour cream and salsa for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and mix in half of the shredded cheese.
  5. Place a tortilla in a clean skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle with some cheese, then add beef mixture, more cheese, and top with another tortilla.
  6. Cook until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
  7. Cut into wedges and serve with sour cream and salsa.
