- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 pound beef chops, trimmed and cubed
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the sliced potatoes with milk, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In a skillet, brown the beef chops with chopped onion and garlic until cooked through.
- Layer the potatoes in a greased baking dish, then add the beef mixture on top.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a crispier top, broil for the last 2-3 minutes. Pairs well with steamed vegetables.
