Description

Miniature cherry pies made with flaky crust and sweet cherry filling.


Ingredients

Scale
  • Crust:
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
  • Filling:
  • 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For Topping:
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pie crusts and cut into circles using a cookie cutter.
  3. In a bowl, mix cherry pie filling with cornstarch and vanilla.
  4. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each crust circle.
  5. Fold the edges to form bites and brush with beaten egg.
  6. Sprinkle with sugar and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.

These bites are best served warm with a scoop of ice cream.
