These chewy cookies are perfect for the holidays with cranberries and orange zest.

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg, then stir in the orange zest and orange juice.
- Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the creamed mixture.
- Mix in cranberries. Drop rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
