For the Crust:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and prepare a baking dish.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Coat each piece with flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook the chicken until golden on both sides. Place the chicken in the baking dish.
- Pour marinara sauce over the chicken and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the chicken is cooked through.
