Description

A decadent chocolate cake with a gooey center, perfect for chocolate lovers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 3/4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. For the crust, mix chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until combined; press into the bottom of the pan.
  3. For the filling, beat cream cheese until smooth, then add 2 eggs, vanilla, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar; mix well and pour over the crust.
  4. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the edges are set but the center is gooey.
  5. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

This cake is best served warm with a scoop of ice cream.
