- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 large egg
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 3/4 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- For the crust, mix chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg until combined; press into the bottom of the pan.
- For the filling, beat cream cheese until smooth, then add 2 eggs, vanilla, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar; mix well and pour over the crust.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until the edges are set but the center is gooey.
- Cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
This cake is best served warm with a scoop of ice cream.
