Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy, then add vanilla.
- Fold in the dry ingredients and pour batter into the pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
- While cooling, prepare mousse by blending strawberries and folding into whipped cream.
- Layer the mousse on the cooled cake and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Melt chocolate and dip the cake edges, then chill until set.
Notes
For best results, use ripe strawberries and high-quality chocolate. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
