A delightful layered cake combining rich chocolate cake with fluffy whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and baking soda. Add water, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter equally into the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool completely.
  4. In a medium bowl, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  5. Place one cake layer on a serving plate, spread a thick layer of whipped cream, and top with half of the strawberries.
  6. Add the second cake layer, spread with remaining whipped cream, and top with the rest of the strawberries.
  7. Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
