- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper, and olive oil to form a paste.
- Rub the garlic-herb paste all over the prime rib roast.
- Place the roast on a rack in a roasting pan, fat side up.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C).
- Continue roasting until the internal temperature reaches 120°F (49°C) for rare, or 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, about 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
