Description

Easy churro-flavored cheesecake cookies that combine cinnamon-sugar goodness with creamy cheesecake in a simple dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • For the topping: 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the sugar and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until light and fluffy.
  5. Beat in the egg until fully combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, about 1 tablespoon per cookie.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the topping sugar and cinnamon. Roll each dough ball in the mixture to coat.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
