- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- For the topping: 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy.
- Add the sugar and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, about 1 tablespoon per cookie.
- In a small bowl, mix the topping sugar and cinnamon. Roll each dough ball in the mixture to coat.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
