- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For topping: 1/4 cup melted butter, 1/4 cup sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- While the bread is baking, prepare the topping by mixing sugar and cinnamon.
- Once baked, remove from oven and brush the top with melted butter, then sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
This bread is best served warm and can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
