Description

A delightful sweet bread that mimics the flavor of cinnamon donuts, perfect for breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the topping: 1/4 cup melted butter, 1/4 cup sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes, then brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Notes

This bread is best enjoyed fresh and warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
