A moist and tender quick bread loaded with crunchy pecans and swirled with a sweet cinnamon ribbon. A true Southern delight.

For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped Alabama pecans
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat buttermilk, eggs, oil, and vanilla. Gradually add wet ingredients to dry, stirring until just combined. Fold in pecans.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle with half the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Top with remaining batter and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar. Drizzle melted butter over the top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
