For the Crust:
- 8 slices of bacon
- 4 slices of whole wheat bread
- 4 leaves of romaine lettuce
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
- Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
- Spread mayonnaise on one side of each toast slice. Layer lettuce, tomato slices, and bacon on two slices. Top with the other slices, mayo-side down. Cut the sandwich into halves or quarters and secure with toothpicks.
