- For the gravy:
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Step 1: Pound the cube steaks to 1/4-inch thickness using a meat mallet.
- Step 2: In a shallow bowl, mix together 1 cup flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Step 3: In another bowl, whisk together eggs and 1/4 cup milk.
- Step 4: Dredge each steak in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and coat again in flour.
- Step 5: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry steaks for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Step 6: For the gravy: In the same skillet, whisk 1/4 cup flour into the drippings. Gradually add 2 cups milk, whisking constantly. Cook until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
- Step 7: Serve steaks with gravy on top.

Ensure oil is hot before frying for a crispy coating. Pairs well with mashed potatoes.
