Description

A simple and delicious appetizer made with hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, and seasonings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let stand for 12 minutes.
  2. Drain and cool eggs under cold running water. Peel and cut eggs in half lengthwise.
  3. Remove yolks and place in a bowl. Mash yolks with a fork and mix in mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  5. Sprinkle with paprika and chill before serving.

Notes

For a variation, add chopped pickles or chives to the yolk mixture.
