Description

A delicious fusion of a classic Philly cheesesteak turned into a hearty meatloaf.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, garlic, bread crumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Press half of the mixture into a loaf pan. Layer with half of the shredded provolone cheese.
  4. Add the remaining meat mixture on top and press down firmly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a twist, serve with hoagie rolls or extra cheese on top.
