Description

A homemade version of the classic McDonald’s breakfast sandwich featuring steak, egg, and cheese on a bagel.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 plain bagel
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced steak (such as ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 slice American cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter for cooking

Instructions

  1. Toast the bagel in a toaster until golden brown.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and cook the eggs as desired (scrambled or fried).
  3. In the same skillet, cook the steak slices until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Assemble the bagel by placing the cooked eggs and steak on one half, top with the cheese slice, and cover with the other half of the bagel.
  5. Serve immediately for the best taste.

Notes

For a closer McDonald’s taste, use processed cheese and ensure the steak is tenderized.
