- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix
- 1/2 cup water or chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
- Add the diced potatoes to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the trimmed green beans and ranch seasoning mix to the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Pour in the water or chicken broth, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the cooked bacon, season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot as a side dish.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon and use olive oil instead. This dish pairs well with grilled meats.
